Smart collection pointWhat is Ecoisola?
Ecoisola is a smart and fully automated waste collection point. It allows accurate and real-time monitoring of waste volumes, the delivery process and customer behaviour. The smart collection point also enables a Pay-As-You-Throw billing model based on usage. Ecoisola’s modular design allows it to be tailored to meet customer’s requirements and includes two to eight 1100 litre waste containers.
The appearance of the collection points can be customized, making Ecoisola aesthetically pleasing and easy to integrate into its surroundings. Ecoisola is simple to install and is particularly suitable for public spaces such as parks, marinas, recreational areas and shopping centres.
There are already around 10,000 smart collection points across Europe, including in Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium.
How does it work?
Ecoisola enables contactless use, and its operation is monitored and managed remotely via the cloud. The collection point is equipped with innovative features, such as surface measurement sensors, QR code and mobile app-based identification. Once the user is authenticated at the sorting point, the hatches are opened with motion sensors. Users can use the Waper app to track their own usage rates and get information on the fill level status of the collection points. The mobile app can also be used to purchase access to the collection point.
